Invertebrates
The GEKCO conservancy is home to a huge variety of invertebrates which play a vital role in the functioning of the natural ecosystems. They are the most abundant group of macroscopic organisms in the terrestrial environment. The taxonomy of invertebrates is complex and thus for ease of understanding I have grouped all the ‘bugs’ under this broad term. I have not identified all the different species yet but I intend to do so in the near future.
Below is a gallery displaying photographs of different invertebrates taken in the GEKCO conservancy. If you would like to contribute your photos to the project, please submit them at the “Submit Photos” tab under “Projects” or email them to tyrone.mckendry@gmail.com.
