Saddlebrook Ext 1 Petrol Station

An application has been submitted by Plan Associates Inc. on behalf of Shell South Africa to build a pretol station, along with a convenience store, conference centre and ancillaries at the intersection of Summit Road (R562) and Stirrup Road in Knopjeslaagte (Bridle Park AH).

GEKCO is concerned about the effects to wetlands and the water table not only during construction of the project but also should there be any kind of petrochemical spill – this would be disastrous to the GEKCO Conservancy. Many of the residents in Sun Valley and Bridle Park only have access to borehole water and not municipal water!
